Our Flag Black version 1

Our Flag Black version 1 by Mark Sowerbutts from Wellington, tagged with: Black, Red, White, Fern, Koru, Southern Cross.

The word limit to this section is to small to explain my design in in a way I would feel is clear enough to explain it thus if you like my design and want it explained to you then please contact me and I will be happy to do this. In turn check out my post of my flag designs on my Facebook page which can be found under my name on Facebook and there is a clear explanation for the reasons for my flag designs there. I hope you like the concept of my flag design and hope you seek to provide me with some feedback and in turn seek more feed back from me about my flag design. Many thanks for this opportunity to demonstrate my flag design to you . regards, Mark Sowerbutts. Credit for the Tino Rangatiratanga design goes to Hiraina Marsden, Jan Smith and Linda Munn.

my opinion
I like this flag because it has got a bit of the maorl flag in it and the four stars  silver fern that is native to nz

What do you like this flag ? Do you want this flag to be the nz flag? Is there something you would change about this flag ?

Flying ice cream

Flying icecream

The kid only town is full of sweets and treats. Chocolate for breakfast , ice cream for lunch , lollipops for dinner all week long . Next week is donuts, cupcakes, and chocolate biscuits, from the sky . But one day instead of treats and sweets, down came broccoli ,ice cream. The kid’s screamed like it was a horror movie. Two kids called Bella and Bob were brother and sister.THey decided to go to the moon where the treats and sweets were falling from,to see if there was anything wrong that they could do about. They jumped into the icecream cone rocket to the moon. When they got to the moon they saw the broccoli ice cream lovers Vanessa and aidan. Bella and Bob Knew that they hated lollipops so they jumped back into the ice cream cone rocket and setted off home. They got a lollipop from their big fridge and got their magic tasty lollipop paint out. Bella went and got the green paint out and Bob went and got the pink paint out. They painted the giant 20 feet long lollipop. When they were done painting the lollipop they pushed it out the door and into the 30 feet long ice cream cone rocket, and went back upto the moon to try and get Vannessa and Aidan to eat the lollipop.By the way the lollipop looked like Broccolli ice cream. Bella had A idea a wonderful idea. She told Bob her wonderful idea. They creeptd up to Aidan and Vanessa  shouted at them. They said hey what are you doing? Vanessa shouted back giving them what we want.Do you want a broccoli icecream? Vanessa and aidan said yes and started running to bob who was struggling to hold the lollipop up. Bella went up to the machine that was shooting out broccoli ice cream. Bella changed the machine called the napfoodgiver to squirt out what it should be. When she changed the napfoodgiver she ran to the ice cream cone rocket and bob as well. Vanessa and aidan were still licking the lollipop, but when bob and bella took off they hit Vanessa  and Aidan and they fell off the moon. They kept on falling and falling until they were 100 year old.

Kapa Hakka

Kapa Haka is the term used for the Traditional Maori Performing Arts.
Unlike other indigenous dance forms, kapa haka is unique in the fact that the performers must sing, dance, have expression as well as movement all combined into each item.
Kapa Haka could be seen as sign language, as each action has a meaning, which ties in with the words. For example, if the hand is by the ear, this would probably tie in with the word whakarongo which means to listen.

Soldiers life

soldiers Life

Bare trees in the grey misty sky,
Soldiers’ boots squelching in the sinking mud
Creaking noises created by the bridge.
Growling noises like machine guns, come from the soldiers’ tummies.
Poppies as red as blood,
cover the fields,
Soldiers died,
Mothers’ hearts,
Never healed.

BANG !!!! there was light in the sky. It was like Guy Fawkes!
Then a terrifying noise filled the house with shadows. It was like a grizzly bear coming closer and closer until it went silent again, SUDDENLY the light started flickering on and off I was so scared it felt like my heart was about to jump out of my body. Then BOOM !!!!!!! everything was quiet I suddenly noticed I could not see a single thing. It was pitch black like dark chocolate .
